MAYO GAVOTTE Ted & Sue Burroughs, 1984: Named in memory of the late Denise Mayo. This didn’t win unfortunately, another one that got away, but entered at Butlins, Minehead (beaten by Sindy Swing !). I’d forgotten about this one until the recent GARTHLANDS GAVOTTE came along and which reminded me of it a bit. The script will be free to view for a short time.

RUMBA NICOLE For those fed up with the run-of-the-mill in Rumba, here’s one featuring the Continuous Circular Hip Twist (as shown here). Recommended music: Hugo Strasser’s cover (in sequence) of 1982 Eurovision winner A Little Peace performed by Nicole – Hugo Strasser’s cover (Shlager Stars, Ein Bisschen Frieden) is on Spotify, but for Nicole click here. The script will be free to view for a short time.

SUNSHINE QUICKSTEP Norman Martin, 1980. By Request.

BROOKLYN TANGO Robert & Louise Aldred: From a BDC Competition designed to produce championship level dances. My own view is that this is exactly the sort of routine that should be danced in mainstream sequence dancing. So I’ve decided to make a script available. There is also now an inventors video available free to view on BBL’s site – click here. I’ve written the script based on the video, so you’ll have here the rare opportunity to see a script that actually matches a video. The script is available in chart form from various teaching associations for something like £5 and it’s not possible to get a “normal” script anywhere. This script is free-to-view. Others from this series are also available to our members below .

PASO VALENCIA Dennis & Alice Douglas, 1979.

SWINGING SAMBA Maurice Tait & Yvonne Stanley, 1978: Prolific arrangers of sequence dances. Maurice sadly passed away last week, so we thought we would publish this to honour Maurice & Yvonne’s contribution. Their RUMBA DUET which is excellent is available free-to-view from our Samples Page.

PARTY TRIO Vernon Kemp, 1987: Something for the party season. Arranged for two ladies and 1 man, this may be danced by three ladies, 2 men and one lady, or a couple who would dance the steps as man and lady. Basically anything goes.

The following and all of the other new additions from the last 18 months or so prior to November 2016 as previously listed on this page have now been moved over to the A-Z section in a properly indexed form which will hopefully make searching the database a little easier. This includes 300 or so scripts covering the period from 2000 – 2006. The discs have also now been fully updated to include all of these.

TANGO CONCERTINO Sequenceblogger, 2016: Try it to Prandi Sound Tango Ensemble, Sensation

ROYAL PARK TANGO Ted & Sue Burroughs, 1986: (NOB finalist, not previously released)

QUEENSWAY SAUNTER IDTA finalist 1982: this was later edited to make a prizewinning Saunter of some repute, but some parts that were very unusual were left behind and never been seen since. So I thought it was time this had an airing. Dances well to Abba’s I Do
